three things thursday

1. A shoutout: I need your help! If you went to school for one thing, and are now doing something (a little or very) different, please consider doing a guest post for me! Starting next week Tuesday, I’ll be doing a weekly series on the post-grad career shuffle. I’m featuring people from all walks of life, and would love to include your story! Contact me at thepostgraduateflail@gmail.com if you’re interested, and I will send you a short list of questions. It’ll be quick and easy, I promise!

You do NOT have to be a blogger to participate!!

2. Jason and I did the unthinkable last night: we didn’t touch our computers. Instead, we watched some TV together, and went to bed at 10:30. I was amazed… I had thought all along that we were really bad at going to bed early because we were watching TV, but it turns out neither of us are good at stepping away from the computer. SO… I think a break from our computers would be appropriate– we may end up being well rested and having a clean apartment!

Miley agrees… I clearly take all of my life advice from her.

3. I really, really miss cooking. I haven’t cooked anything intricate since Christmas, and I miss whipping up some cool dishes. (Though last night I did make some braised cabbage and roasted asparagus… baby steps.) We haven’t even gone grocery shopping in two weeks– I used to go two or three times a week, so this is really weird. Perhaps I shall get creative again with all this free time I’ll have. Any good recipes I should try?

ahhh, isn’t it amazing how addicted we can be to the internet? it’s just endless entertainment and it definitely keeps me up too without even noticing how late it is. My boyfriend and I have nights like that too where we just don’t go on them, it’s amazing to go to bed so early.

And ooo, cooking! Definitely give it a whirl while you have time. I like to pick a cookbook to kinda sift through- The Pioneer Woman has AMAZING ones so basically, I would suggest trying any of hers and going through them. They’re so yummy.

And I’m afraid I wouldn’t have much to contribute to your college idea as my story doesn’t really fit into that but it’s a great idea and I look forward to reading!
